The program is designed to nurture the quickly developing Infant as they take their first steps towards independence. The focus of the Infant Education Program is to assist children in reaching their key development milestones by helping them to develop their cross-motor, fine motor, social and language skills. The infant Montessori teacher is the connector to the environment, the observer and guide to self-discovery. The classroom has one Montessori infant trained teacher and one assistant teacher. The daily schedule and monthly learning plan will be displayed in the classroom.

In this mixed-age environment children spend time in the same classroom getting to know each other and their teachers well. The continuity of returning to the same room each year creates a strong classroom community, for children and parents. The daily schedule and monthly lesson will be displayed in the classroom. Toddlers learn best in safe, loving places where they can explore, in their own way. The activities for children in this age group are built around the children’s limitless curiosity and their natural desire to push boundaries. Our curriculum based on the Montessori method promotes early social and emotional development and fosters sensory exploration.

The primary program is guided by Montessori certified teachers using a full complement of Montessori materials in a classroom designed to offer choice for hands-on exploration following each child’s interests, learning style, and pace. Our program provides a balanced focus of promoting independence and concentration while learning friendship skills and the joys of feeling part of a harmonious group. To develop a well rounded person, we enforce grace and courtesy, which is for life.
