Infants (3 mos - 1 yr 6 mos)
When it comes to the care of infants and our infant program, we at the Austin Children’s Academy (ACA) know that your fundamental concern is for the safety, comfort, and loving care of your children. We treat your babies with as much compassion as if they were our very own. By placing them in the arms of our joyful, experienced caregivers, in an environment designed to be a home-away-from-home, you’re offering your children a world full of opportunities for play, wonder, as well as cognitive, sensory, and motor skill development. In our infant program, we focus on three basic tenets of early educational development. The first is to instill in your children a sense of warmth, safety, and security in their new environment. The second is to nurture trust between the children and caregivers by fulfilling the babies’ and older infants with the most basic needs in a timely and loving manner. The third is to help them explore their new world in a way that will encourage their ever-maturing sensory, cognitive, and motor-skill development.

Toddler (1 yr 6 mos - 3 yrs)
The toddler years are a very critical period of time in early child development. A toddler’s mind is eager and his physical and sensory curiosity is boundless. Out of the house and often out of the crib, your toddler is ready to explore the greater world, even if his still-unsteady efforts give you palpitations! Since experimentation and play are how toddlers absorb new cognitive, physical, and sensory lessons, you want to make sure he learns those lessons in safety and with joy.

Primary (3 - 6 yrs)
When a three-year-old enters the primary school at the Austin Children’s Academy, he or she will be experiencing a critical period in his early academic life. Over the three years of the program, he will develop in leaps and bounds in a wide variety of academic subjects. Surrounded by language, your child’s vocabulary will expand exponentially, as will the complexity of their sentences and the breadth of their oral and reading comprehension. They’ll embrace ever-more-complex mathematical concepts and discover new interests in the greater world as they explore facets of science, geography, other languages, and social studies.
Mon-Fri , 7:30am - 6:00pm
Spanish Immersion Dual-Language Program (0 - 7 yrs)
Austin Children’s Academy Spanish dual-language immersion program provides a wonderful opportunity for your children to learn a second language in a natural environment before the “developmental window of opportunity” for language acquisition closes. Research of brain development and the early years of our neurological system shows that infants and young children are hard-wired to learn language at an exponential rate. This is why the early years are critical and is a perfect time to introduce a second language. Beyond the immediate benefits of improved communication skills, cultural immersion, and long-term second-language retention, becoming bilingual at a young age brings cognitive benefits that last well into adulthood. The research is unequivocal: Bilingual children can focus on complex tasks more deeply than their monolingual peers, perform better on standardized tests, and have more well-developed executive functions, important for planning, scheduling, and organization.
Infants 2 mos to 18 mos
These early months are crucial for cognitive, sensory, and motor skill development, occurring in a safe, warm, loving trust-based atmosphere where caregivers respond to each child's needs.
