The toddler years are a time of great cognitive, emotional and social development. With attentive and knowledgeable caregivers, parents trust that their child’s first time away from home will be a nurturing one. From potty training to age appropriate activities, the toddler program at First Lutheran Children’s Program is where routine, creativity and a love of learning are first introduced. Our staff-to-child ratios allow teachers to really know each child. The compassion and love offered at this stage is key for the toddler in their first group childcare experience.

We don’t have to tell you that preschoolers are curious and love to learn about their environment. Our Pre-K and Preschool Programs allow each child to explore and discover at their own pace. We meet each child where he or she is developmentally and personally, offering enriching activities designed to satisfy the curious nature of the children in this group. Children have options within a structured environment and the routine of the day provides security for the children. They are encouraged to try new things while enjoying the activities they know they love. It is this flexibility within structure which lays the foundation for a child’s self confidence while they are involved and having fun.

Our students look forward to beginning and ending their day with us. Our School Age Care programs provide opportunities for structured activity, outside playtime or quiet indoor choices. Outdoor play is a key component of this program. Our center offers a fully equipped playground and play area where the children can meet up with their friends and get fresh air. The children are provided with choices of activities and encouraged to try new things in a loving and supportive environment.

Summer Camp is a great way to keep your child active once school is out. But finding the right place for your children, and your family, is important. Our programs were developed with families in mind, allowing for flexibility for the parents and variety for the kids. Campers are grouped by age to enjoy group and camp-wide activities, which include: music, drama, arts, sports, games, crafts, nature, and dance.
