Preschool at RVFS is often a child's first school experience Preschool offers far more than just child care. Our teachers understand each child's individual developmental needs and learning style. At Rooster Valley Farm School, children may be in the preschool class for one or two years, depending on their age upon entry. Preschool consists of children ages 2.5-4.

Our summer camps are 4 half-day per week themed camps that are located at RVFS. Camps are open to any children 2.5-6 year old, so they do not need to be RVFS students from the school year. Camps are taught by teachers from RVFS. There is limited space in all camps (20 campers per week per group). ALL CAMPS INCLUDE DAILY INTERACTIONS WITH FARM ANIMALS, THEMED ACTIVITIES & PROJECTS, TIME TENDING THE GARDEN, & OUTDOOR PLAY. RVFS will comply with COVID-19 health and safety requirements. RVFS has adjusted our camp with a focus on maintaining the joyful and playful atmosphere that makes our school so special.

Pre-K at Rooster Valley Farm School is the ONE year before our students enter Kindergarten. It is a time for both play and learning, two facets in which there is a great deal of overlap. In Pre-K, students will be focusing on foundational literacy and math skills. We want our Pre-K children to be well-prepared for Kindergarten but not "burnt out" from school already! We love to "hide" learning within fun, hands-on activities. Our goal is to develop your children's skills so they approach Kindergarten with confidence, excitement and eagerness. Pre-K students take on more responsibilities in the barnyard and in the garden. Pre-K usually consists of children ages 4-5.
