Our Toddler classrooms are carefully designed to provide a secure environment that is rich with new challenges and filled with colorful, age-appropriate toys and equipment for hands-on fun! Our teachers also make sure to communicate with you regarding your child’s experiences by providing a daily report for each child with all the details you need to know! It includes the basics such as your child’s eating, diapering, and sleeping schedule, along with fun and informative details regarding his or her activities for the day. Our staff utilizes theme-based curriculum developed exclusively for this age group and designed to ensure the advancement of language development, as well as the physical, cognitive, and social development of our students. We have low student-to-teacher ratios so that we are able to provide each child with lots of individual attention!

Our students participate in lots of planned activities, and we know communicating with our parents is important. Age-specific monthly Highlights showcase weekly curriculum activities. Regularly scheduled parent/teacher conferences focusing on our age-specific Developmental Checklists help recognize and celebrate each child’s accomplishments. Our comprehensive, theme-based Preschool curriculum focuses on providing a solid educational foundation for our young students. We keep our class groups small in order to promote individualized care and education. Our Preschool classrooms in San Antonio and Austin, both with a two-story playhouse and multiple learning centers, are carefully designed to provide a secure environment with unlimited educational opportunities and fun!

Country Home Learning Center offers a highly successful Excel program that incorporates a truly accelerated environment, degreed or CDA certified teachers, and exceptionally small classes. This program is accredited by Cognia and aligned with state standards for public school kindergarten. With only 14 students per class, our Country Home Excel Program is almost half the size of most public school Kindergarten classes! In addition to our extra-curricular activities listed below, our Excel students enjoy various educational and fun field trips. They are also introduced to reading and 1st grade math during the second semester. Our students have many planned activities, and we know how important it is to communicate with our parents. Age-specific Monthly Highlights showcase selected weekly curriculum activities. School-wide monthly newsletters notify parents of special events and other important information. Country Home Report Cards (four times per year) and regularly-scheduled parent/teacher conferences focusing on our Excel Program’s Developmental Checklist help recognize and celebrate each child’s accomplishments.

Country Home After School students enjoy active, fun-filled days that provide a variety of choices, including the Soda Shop (for an afternoon snack and cooking projects), the Arts and Crafts Center (for creative arts), the Theater Arts Center (for plays, musical instruction or a favorite movie), the Computer Lab (for play and education), the Giant Adventure Jungle Indoor Playground (for indoor physical play), and the outdoor playground and Waterpark (weather permitting). Each area encompasses unique opportunities and equipment for challenging “hands-on” learning and fun exploration into the world of science, math, computers, language development, drama, and creative arts. We do provide homework time each day to assist in the completion of your child’s school assignments. However, our After School program is not an extension of the typical school day; it is designed to complement it by providing many enrichment opportunities unavailable to the students at the public schools. Our children spend fun-filled days on the move participating in activities that stimulate their creativity and spur their imagination! We invite our After School students to attend Country Home on public school holidays. Field trips are planned on these days to exciting and educational local attractions, including horseback riding, visits to our petting zoo, and picnics at our privately owned “Adventure Quest” ranch in Boerne for our San Antonio locations! After School transportation is provided to and from nearby public schools. Please inquire at the location nearest you for specifics.

Country Home’s extremely popular Summer Camp program includes all of our regular activities, our Kids’ Choice Special Interest Clubs, regularly scheduled field trips to swim, skate, bowl, and see movies, as well as special field trips to a wide variety of exciting local destinations. Our highly successful, reward-based Reading Program encourages academic exercises throughout the summer, while our wonderful facility affords us the opportunity to explore various themed rooms. Each area encompasses unique opportunities and equipment for hands-on learning and fun exploration into the world of science, math, computers, language development, dramatic and creative arts. Our children spend fun-filled days on the move participating in activities that stimulate their creativity and spur their imagination!
