Unlike some schools, our toddler classroom is an academic environment. Parents and visitors are always surprised by the calm atmosphere of the classroom and the way our toddler students focus, work, and learn. The classroom is well-equipped with Montessori materials and children who start out in this room begin to discover their independence and develop self-confidence at the earliest possible age. In addition to doing Montessori “work”, our toddlers have circle time, arts and crafts, outdoor play, Spanish, and Music. The toddler classroom is a joy to observe, as the children are constantly and happily learning. Parents are impressed by the abilities their toddlers demonstrate in the classroom and are comforted by the loving and nurturing environment.

Students in our transition classroom are roughly between the ages of two and a half and three and a half years of age. For students who started in our Toddler Program, this program is a continuation and expansion of the concepts and materials to which they were introduced previously. However, students who start in this classroom easily adapt to the Montessori environment and love the variety of materials available to stimulate their learning and their sense of independence. Transition Room students learn all of their initial sounds and start to do simple addition. Some of the children in this classroom are potty trained and some are working on it.

From the Dallas North Tollway – exit at Plano Pkwy and head east. Turn right onto Village Creek Drive, which is the first stoplight after the one at Winding Hollow. Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a PrimaCare are on the corner. Proceed down Village Creek, and affter passing the baseball field on the right, you will see Colonial Lodge. We are next door to Colonial Lodge on the right side of the street. From the George Bush Turnpike – exit at Preston Road and turn right, heading north on Preston Road. Turn left onto Plano Parkway ant then left at the first stoplight onto Village Creek Drive. Proceed down Village Creek, and after passing the baseball field on the right, you will see Colonial Lodge. We are next door to Colonial Lodge on the right side of the street.
