At Great Day Family Child Care, our infant program focuses on making your child feel at home. We strive to keep your baby happy, engaged, and secure. We will work with you to build a schedule that fits your child’s unique schedule, nutritional needs, and any other special attention required for your bundle of joy.

Toddlers learn speech and language development, as we speak and read with them constantly. By giving them simple instruction, asking questions, and involving them in sing alongs they become more engaged in speaking. The physical growth of the child is important as well, and that is why we allow supervised outdoor exploration and dancing. We teach them about sharing, and group activities for the purpose of social development. And by advising them to feed themselves and clean up after themselves we are allowing the progression of self help skills. We also allow a child’s imagination to take flight when we give them the opportunity to paint, color, or draw.

For preschoolers, we further develop the skills of speech and language, physical growth, socializing, self help, and creativity. We familiarize the children with the alphabet and numbers, as we teach them to spell, read aloud, and to count numbers. They are given the freedom to sing and dance. Allowed supervised time outside for physical activity. Participate in group activities. Play memory games and rhyming games. And also given the opportunity to display their artistic side when its time for arts and craft.

Great Day Family Child Care accommodates a program for children to enjoy after school as well. We assist the children with their homework. Give them the chance to play board games, and play outside. And allow them to participate in team building activities.
