The children are cared for in an environment that encourages interaction. There are two separate rooms that allow the children to see each other. We are family friendly and encourage parents to let us know their children’s likes and dislikes, as well as, any special needs or dietary concerns. At enrollment, each infant has his/her own individualized feeding plan prepared by their parent. These plans are updated as often as the parent feels is necessary. This is a time of exploration and self-expression. In addition to loving and nurturing the babies, we encourage positive growth and development by allowing them to explore their environment, crawling around, participation in tummy time, reading and singing songs to them, and allowing them to play.

Our toddlers are allowed to become less clingy and more self-sufficient. Gone are the bottles and pacifiers. We assist them with learning how to walk, sit at a table in chairs, eat with utensils, to drink from cups and to sleep on cots instead of in baby beds. We encourage them to try to use words. This is the stage that we begin group activities with them. They participate in simple art and sensory activities in their class room. They are exposed to colors, numbers and shapes. They also learn the parts of the body and begin to play together and not parallel. All infants and toddlers receive a daily report outlining how their day went.

The preschool program begins with our two year olds. Their classrooms are designed to stimulate a desire to learn. The environment is open and friendly. The children engage in structured activities, hands on learning, and free choice time. Every month there is a theme and all activities are selected around this. Each week a letter, number, color and shape is the focus. Group activities include art, music and basic science. Two year olds, gain independence through becoming potty trained and speaking in sentences. We encourage open communication between teachers and parents. Daily reports are given. We welcome any comments and suggestions from parents. Teachers are made available for conferences.

The three year old classroom is more structured. Children learn basic writing skills and tracing the alphabets; they also work on recognizing letters and knowing the sounds each of them makes; emphasis is placed on identifying colors, numbers, shapes, etc. Everything in this class is interactive. Most activities are done in groups.

The Pre-k class is designed to prepare the child for a successful kindergarten experience. Primary focus is mastering alphabet recognition and sounds, progressing to blending letters to make sounds, memorizing sight words, simple spelling. Early math skills developed and they learn to turn number recognition into counting, adding, subtracting. Science is explored through projects, classroom activities and field trips.
