Infants and Toddlers Program (1 mo - 3 yrs)
Our Infant Program (Nursery) cares for babies from six weeks of age up to sixteen months old and is centered around the individual routine of each baby. Sleeping and eating patterns may be the same or different between children. Our staff gives careful attention to each child's individual needs. Crying children will be comforted and physical touch is given in the forms of hugs, rocking, cuddling, and playing. Our Toddler Program (Noah's Ark) begins for children when they are around sixteen months old. Developmentally, children are typically playing side-by-side at this age instead of playing cooperatively. Our toddler curriculum introduces them to learning and play activities that peak their interests and helps them to develop and master emerging skills.
Preschool Program (3 - 4 yrs)
Our three-year old Preschool Program (Jacob's Ladder) is for children still potty training or completed potty training. We offer a collaborative curriculum which supports Maine's Early Childhood Learning Guidelines and teaches social skills. Some of our curriculum and activities are done together as a larger group and some are done in smaller groups. A typical day can consist of a variety of activities such as: Circle time, Bible time, letter recognition, numbers, colors, story time, songs, art, music and movement, outdoor play, free play, gross motor and fine motor activities, and much more.
Pre-K Program (4 - 5 yrs)
Our Pre-K Program is for children that are four to five years of age and fully potty trained. We use a collaborative curriculum including Maine's Dept. of Education Pre-K For ME which supports Maine's Early Learning and Development Standards as well as the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. Some of our curriculum and activities are done together as a larger group and some are done in smaller groups. A typical day can consist of a variety of activities such as: Pledge of Allegiance, circle time, Bible time, letter recognition and sounds, story time, songs, math concepts, art, music and movement, outdoor play, science, character development, free play, gross motor and fine motor activities, and much more. This curriculum builds social-emotional skills, executive functions of the brain, language, literacy, math, vocabulary skills, and conceptual knowledge.
Before & After School Program (5 - 10 yrs)
Our Before & After School Program offers a wide variety of activities for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade including individual homework help, snack time, outdoor play, play centers, arts and crafts, science activities, field trips, Bible club, community service, literacy activities and projects, and much more. We stay open for most snow days and also provide fun group activities and field trips during school vacation weeks. Buses from Windham Primary School and Manchester School pick up and drop off at our front door. Children enrolled in our Before & After School Program are given first option to attend our popular Summer Enrichment Camp which starts when school ends and ends when school begins.
