Infants and Toddler classroom (1 - 3 yrs)
Infant and toddler will be in groups of nine with a ratio of one staff member to five children. Toddler acquire an amazing number of skills between age 1 to 3. Language, mobility, increasing independence...children also being to work on toileting and impulse control. Little star Child Care Center, support toddler's emotional, physical and cognitive development by providing routines and rituals that are consistent, comfortable and attuned to individuals' needs and interests. Activity will include a daily art project, music, self-help skills, stories, math, alphabet, language, sensory/ discovery. computer learning games, manipulative to help develop fine gross motor skill, outdoor activity and much more. The children will follow a daily schedule, which is posted in the classroom for the parent to view. A daily note be provided so that we keep our communication open as much as possible.

Our educational program focuses on each child's social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development by offering concrete, hands-on activities for the child to explore. The preschool curriculum is designed to actively engage each child in developmentally age appropriate activities exploring the content areas of literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts and technology and much more. Our classrooms are well organized and equipped with developmentally appropriate materials. Materials in the learning center are rotated frequently and are changed to reflect the center's themes each week. Areas are provided for relaxation and comforts as well as areas for quiet and active learning. Classroom have daily schedules, except infants who are on their own schedule, and develop routing that allow the children to actively participate in their day. Transition are planned for, reducing the need for children to wait. Song, finger plays and games are utilized to create a fun atmosphere while children move from activity to activity. Classroom promote diversity throughout their learning center and teacher counteract culturally insensitive behavior by establishing a classroom community with rules of fairness and acceptance.
