Infants (2 mos - 1 yr 2 mos)
Our Infant environment was designed with Montessori’s vision of a “Nido” (or nest) – a peaceful, loving place where babies can explore and feel secure. Guides speak in gentle tones, the daily pace is unhurried, and décor is understated and homelike. Every detail in our prepared Montessori environment has been selected with the child’s whole development in mind. It has developmentally appropriate materials and activities that support the infant through each stage of their growth. Because we “follow the child,” we provide a variety of activities where infants can explore based upon their curiosity and mobility, not just their age. Our Nido (infant room) is a small environment with a maximum of 8 babies and it welcomes children ages 6 weeks to 14 months. After the age of 14 months a child may begin his transition to the young toddler program.

Young Toddlers (1 yr 3 mos - 1 yr 11 mos)
$890 - $1,430 / month
Our year-round program for the 1-year-old child offers a unique year of self-development in a home-like setting that nurtures the spirit while encouraging growth and independence. Our toddler, Montessori guide, is trained and specializes (in needs related to this age group) such as autonomy, separation and toilet training. Through close cooperation between home and school, toddlers are gradually able to separate from their parents. The Montessori-trained guide supports the child’s natural development by placing focus on the encouragement of independence. Through these interactions, toddlers begin to form their character, self-esteem, purpose of life, social and emotional skills, and learning processes. The toddler classroom focuses on practical life exercises, activities for sensorimotor, language development and experiences in art and sciences. The classroom is designed so that they can choose and move about, independently. Montessori materials and activities help toddlers to begin experiencing the concepts of sequence, form, shape, movement and sound. The materials and activities change and evolve as the child grows physically, emotionally, and intellectually.

Primary (3 - 6 yrs)
The Montessori approach to education for children 3-6 years of age provides a wide range of experiences to help each child’s development. The children are given the opportunity to engage in spontaneous, meaningful activities at their own pace and rhythm, with the guidance of a trained adult. Our environment has been designed with your children in mind. Everything in the classroom has been scaled down to their size with low shelves that display a wealth of beautiful, carefully chosen, learning materials. A long block of time is spent on individual or group work. There are periods of outdoor play where children have an opportunity to use their large motor skills. Snack time takes place during the morning work period and after the rest period. Large group activities may include music, singing, story-telling, cultural presentations, birthday celebrations and other activities.
