With an array of fun-filled learning centers, our preschool child development program focuses on building cognitive performance through child-initiated, cooperative play. Our teachers introduce these active and enthusiastic learners to a more structured curriculum and new academic concepts in language, literacy, mathematics, and science. With a consistent daily schedule, classroom roles, meals in the Kids’ Cafe, and focused enrichment classes, our three- and four-year-olds gain a sense of self-reliance and independence

Our pre-K program focuses on the skills your child needs for Kindergarten readiness. Our teachers prepare our students for the academic challenges and environment they will encounter in Kindergarten and beyond, by tailoring the curriculum and lessons to the child’s needs, encouraging meaningful learning experiences through play, and instilling a sense of responsibility, leadership, and independence during the Pre-K year.

The Gardner School extends its fun, educational programs past the traditional school year with Camp Gardner. This 10-week program continues the school year’s academically-focused lessons with a more relaxed, summer camp environment. With creative weekly themes, fun visitors from the community, and exciting outdoor activities, Camp Gardner gives our students the opportunity for fun-filled learning all year round.

We are excited to bring The Gardner School to the River North neighborhood. The Gardner School of Chicago – River North has a rich learning environment that stimulates your child’s physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth. Our River North preschool offers educational preschool and early childhood programs for children ages 6 weeks to Private Kindergarten. We have gone above and beyond traditional child care and preschool programs. At The Gardner School of Chicago – River North, we believe each child should have experiences of self-esteem, which are crucial for their development in adjusting, exploring, and growing. Our approach ensures that each child is nurtured at the proper pace and level, providing them with the educational foundation for a bright future. Our learning atmosphere at The Gardner School of Chicago – River North nurtures intellectual growth through a variety of visual and audio aids, educational toys, games, puzzles, and learning supplies and is centered around curriculum-based lessons, child-directed activities, and structured play. Your child will also have access to Creative Curriculum, World of Wonders Curriculum, and Learning without Tears Curriculum.
