We at Wheat Ridge Learning Academy know you are looking for a safe and secure "home away from home” where your child can learn, play and grow. We have designed a comfortable, nurturing and creative world for your child to help their minds and bodies develop. Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping. We use these patterns as our guide to introduce daily activities that will prepare your infant for life. Our highly trained teachers offer a nurturing and creative environment for infants to develop their bodies and minds. We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for you and your child. Nursing mothers are welcome to stop by during the day and nurse in our Infant classrooms. We also accommodate cloth diapers.

Our Toddler Program uses hands-on exploration and social interaction in safe, engaging surroundings to help your one to two year old learn about his or her expanding world. Through the loving guidance of our teachers, toddlers enjoy learning experiences that promote their blossoming independence and social skills, and foster self-confidence.

Our preschool program inspires your child to examine, create, and share as he broadens his language through interactions with teachers and classmates in a safe, nurturing environment. Sensory and repetitive activities transform these new experiences into knowledge. Three year and four year olds want to be independent. They want to explore, touch and mimic their peers and teachers. We use a core standards based curriculum that integrates language arts and literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional development and gross and fine motor development. Through learning centers and age-appropriate playgrounds, our preschoolers have the ability to work at their own pace and learn to do tasks independently.

Our before- and after-school program provides a perfect combination of fun and education. In our safe environment, your child will have a variety of opportunities for fun, socializing and learning. They’ll do homework, have a snack, get some exercise and participate in group activities. Our convenient hours and transportation to and from school make it easy for your whole family to get into a routine. Through activities such as field trips, reading, cooking, music, and art, your child will extend their learning and make lifelong friendships. Wheat Ridge Learning Academy also offers school-age programs during holidays and other breaks from school.

Our Summer Camp program is all about fun! In a safe environment, your child will have a variety of opportunities for fun, socializing and learning. Through activities such as field trips, reading, cooking, music, and art, your child will extend their learning and make lifelong friendships. Our summer camp ensures that your child is continually exposed to a variety of new experiences. Our camps are filled with the perfect blend of education, sports and fun! Our teachers work hard to ensure that our camp programs are fresh, creative and exciting each summer. We infuse all our activities with fun, and we never lose sight of the value of play.
