Anchor Center is one of a handful of nonprofit organizations nationwide offering specialized vision and early childhood intervention services from a multi-disciplinary team of experts. Our goal is to help families gain knowledge, skills and confidence. From helping infants with sleeping and feeding needs to teaching about communication, our teachers and therapists share their expertise to nurture each child’s holistic growth. This approach allows us to support children in all aspects of vision, sensory needs, development and education. Families attend the Infant Program twice a week with their baby.

At Anchor Center, we engage toddlers in the exploration and discovery of their own gifts, beginning with group play and socialization. Here, learning is fun and safe. Our talented team of experts of vision and early childhood education teachers, speech/language pathologists, physical, occupational, music and recreational therapists provide personalized care. We target our program to each child’s unique developmental needs.

Our Preschool Program helps children achieve self-confidence, gain independence, and develop their social skills in preparation for kindergarten. Anchor Center understands this transition is important. Built on a foundation of vision services, our small classrooms of 5 to 7 children work on an array of early education, socialization, recreation, and mobility activities. Children are independent of their families or caregiver during program and attend twice a week. This allows them to experience self-sufficient learning for a few short hours each day.
