The Infant/Toddler program is designed to cater to the needs of infants and younger toddlers (3 months ~ 17 months). The room is separated for infants who are not yet mobile from infants/toddlers who are already mobile. Prior to enrollment, parents of infants/toddlers must fill out a plan outlining their child’s schedule to be reviewed and discussed with the assigned teacher and School Director. Staff will be trained to fulfill the needs of the infants/toddlers in their care while incorporating the Montessori principles of learning and child development.

Pride in Learning Montessori School offers loving and high-quality early childhood education in a beautiful setting close to Oakland's Lake Merritt. We accept children from 5 weeks to 6 years old for our infant, daycare, and preschool programs. Note: Diapers are changed every hour, if needed. Infant needs are handled on demand for feeding, napping, diapering and activities.

This Toddler Option program caters to older toddlers (18 months to 33 mons) and is implemented in a separate classroom from the infants; a bigger space to roam with more learning materials and to choose from following a daily schedule that includes a balanced amount of outdoor activities, like learning to ride bicycles, climbing and exploring play structures to name a few. This program also incorporates the Montessori principles of learning and child development.

The Preschool classroom is designed to cater to children ages 2-6 years old. The children follow a daily schedule incorporating the Montessori philosophy, principles of learning and child development, work time, snack, outside play, lunch, rest period, and afternoon curriculum. The children in this classroom learn academics, self-control, communication, social skills, independence and being self sufficient.
