It is never too early to start your child’s road to success in life and education. Studies show that infants grow exponentially when they begin socializing with other infants, at an early age. At Milestones, our state-licensed infant program will provide the safest and most stimulating environment for your child. Our staff is carefully selected and trained to take care of all children from birth to school age.

Between the ages of 18 months and 3 years old, children develop social emotional, language communication, cognitive, and motor skills. They go from saying single words to having conversations consisting of 2 to 3 sentences, clinging to familiar faces in new and unfamiliar situations to showing a wide range of emotions, and just learning to walk to climbing and riding a tricycle.

At the preschool age, your child is ready to start transitioning into a more academic frame of mind. While strides are made on a social emotional level through peer cooperation during play and expressing likes and dislikes, the development of language and communication is the foundation for their prek and kinder experience. During your child’s year in preschool, they will be learning basic grammar skils like gender identification, telling stories and singing songs, using scissors, identifying and saying their first and last name, and predicting what will come next in a story.

From 4 to 5 years old, your child will be meeting the last of their milestones at Milestones Academy. As the gateway to elementary education, our Pre K program will transform your child into a social butterfly. They will develop a significant interest in making friends, show an interest in their friends feelings, and even put on small singing, dancing, and acting performances. Your child will go from saying a few sentences to speaking clearly to telling stories . One of the most important milestones that will be met is being able to recall how their day went and tell you about it. In this, we like to make sure your child is prepared with more than just the minimum milestones they need to be ready for Kindergarten. At the end of their 1 year in our Pre K program, your child will already be identifying, reading, and writing sight words, writing his or her name, and performing many of the skills typically seen at the end of Kindergarten.

Milestones after school program is designed for school age children. The program offers students homework help from our qualified teachers, as well as fun and engaging learning activities that are S.T.E.A.M centered. You can always be sure that your student is in a safe and fun learning environment when they are at Milestones.
